Utah Sen. Mitt Romney's announcement that he will not be seeking another term has incited a political scurry for the now empty seat, with candidates such as Tim Ballard , former Utah Speaker of the House Brad Wilson and Riverton mayor Trent Staggs emerging in the race. Romney formally announced his retirement in mid-September with the sentiment that Utah and the nation as a whole was in need of younger leadership. 'It's time for a new generation of leaders,' Romney said in an interview with NPR.
