Rep. John Curtis announced Monday he won't run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Mitt Romney. It was widely rumored Curtis might enter the race, and he said last week he was 'very seriously' considering a run. But in an op-ed first published by the Deseret News Monday, Curtis said he won't run for Senate and instead plans to run for reelection to his 3rd Congressional District seat. 'I will always be thankful to so many who reached out to encourage me,' he wrote. 'Even considering a run for such an important office is an honor.
